The Chadian-born Ignegongba founded Africans in Boston in 2010. The son of a diplomat, Voury was born in N’Djamena, Chad and grew up in Central and Western Africa, where he attended local and French schools. Upon graduating in 1995 from Lycee Francais Liberte, he moved to North America getting his Bachelors in Science at McGill University. He then settled in the Boston area. He is fluent in English, French, Spanish and Mundang.

“I am honored to play a role in promoting the goals of the AfriMed Network. It is my sincere hope that once this project is running smoothly in Cote d’Ivoire, that we can then focus on other areas of Africa where basic health care for so much of rural Africa needs to be expanded”, said Mr. Ignegongba adding, “I call upon everyone who has ever wanted to help build a stronger and healthier African continent to go to the website www.afrimednetwork.org and contribute. This program will move quickly to help young mothers, their children and their families in general to be healthier and lead more productive lives”, concluded the president of Africans in Boston.
