William McGowan has over 25 years of experience in planning, building, and supplying hospitals, labs, and medical research facilities worldwide. McGowan is the Founder and Principal Partner of Source Atlantic, an internationally established group with a quarter-century of accomplishments in the areas of construction, renovation, logistics, procurement planning, and expansion of medical facilities ranging from Emergency, ICU, and surgical units to oncology, radiology, and cardiac care clinics. He personally oversaw the provisioning efforts for the Healthcare International facility in Clydebank, Scotland, the first Harvard-based hospital built overseas. It is a showcase project with a 750-bed hospital attached to a 400-bed, four-star hotel and 250-seat conference center. Additional hospital projects include a world-class hospital in Gaborone, Botswana, and a peer review of two 1,800-bed medical cities in Saudi Arabia.

What AfriMed Network has accomplished over its first three years is impressive, achieving so much with nothing more than their personal commitment and out-of-pocket funds. I am pleased to support and help grow this innovative, hands-on approach to improving access to healthcare for those truly in need in Cote d’Ivoire”, emphasized McGowan.

Mr. McGowan will play a direct role in the long-term planning and development process for the construction of future AfriMed Network-operated community medical centers in Cote d’Ivoire. He has been involved in projects in 35 of the 50 United States and in 36 countries including Haiti, Poland, China, Libya, Morocco, Botswana, and Nigeria.
