William McGowan is Founder and principal partner of Source Atlantic, an internationally established group with a quarter century of accomplishments in the area of construction, renovation, logistics, procurement planning and expansion of medical facilities ranging from emergency, ICU and surgical units to oncology, radiology and cardiac care clinics.
He personally oversaw the provisioning efforts for the Healthcare International facility in Clydebank, Scotland, the first Harvard-based hospital built overseas, a showcase project with a 750-bed hospital attached to a 400-bed, four star hotel and 250-seat conference center.
William McGowan has over 25 years of experience in planning, building and supplying hospitals, labs and medical research facilities world-wide.
McGowan launched his career as a Technology Planner at The Architect’s Collaborative (TAC), where he designed and built planning and cost estimation systems.
In addition to the Clydebank project, project highlights include a world-class hospital in Gaborone, Botswana, as well as the corporate headquarters for Novartis in Cambridge,MA and a peer review of two 1,800-bed medical cities in Saudi Arabia.
McGowan has been involved in projects in 35 of the 50 American states, and in 36 countries, from Haiti, Poland, China, Libya, Morocco, Botswana and Nigeria.
Mr. McGowan will play a direct role in the long-term planning and development process for construction of future AfriMed operated community medical centers in Cote d’Ivoire.
