Ambassador Robert Noble, a recently retired diplomat for the Canadian government, has joined the AfriMed Network Advisory Board.  Ambassador Noble served as Canadian Ambassador to Gabon from 1997 to 2000 and brings to AfriMed Network a broad knowledge of the African continent.

Additionally, he was posted to the African nation of Senegal as well as the Canadian embassies in Mexico City and Madrid, Spain.  He later served as Canada’s Deputy Consul in Boston and New York City and then as Consul General in Detroit from 2006 to 2010.

Over the years Mr. Noble worked closely with Canadian companies and their business associations to implement their international objectives.  From 1983 to 1987, he was seconded to the Canadian Exporters’ Association where he delivered a Canadian International Development agency-sponsored program partnering with Canadian entrepreneurs and small and medium-sized businesses on the African continent in the nations of Cameroon, South Africa, and Zimbabwe.  In this regard, he developed linkages for these partnerships with national and regional funding institutions.

Ambassador Noble says this about being on board with AfriMed Network:

“As a leading West African agricultural exporter, Côte d’Ivoire sends its cacao and coffee to the world. But at home, as in many African countries, health care needs remain enormous.

As a former Ambassador in Africa, I know that our goal at AfriMed Network is to establish a partnership to help the Ivoirian people attain a level of health care that meets these growing needs in an effort to ensure their future social and economic prosperity. I’m thrilled to be a part of this effort.”
