Muluku Souleymane Traoré, is currently Chairman of Guaranty Trust Bank in Cote d’Ivoire. Chairman Traoré also serves as President of Actions for Development Initiative (ADI), a nonprofit helping to improve the level of education for children in Cote d’Ivoire. Chairman Traoré is also a director of Banque Populaire (BPCI) representing the Prime Minister of Cote d’Ivoire on that Board.

Chairman Traoré served for a decade at the International Finance Corporation, (IFC), the World Bank Group in Washington DC until 2012.

Including his work with IFC and Citibank, Chairman Traoré has worked over three decades in banking across Sub-Saharan Africa, the Middle East, North Africa, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. His banking development work has left a positive mark on numerous countries including Nigeria, Ghana, Cote d’Ivoire, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Jordan, and Lebanon.

He states:

Chairman Traoré is a graduate of the University of Baltimore in Maryland and studied English as a foreign language at Georgetown University. He received a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the University of Cocody in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire (Ivory Coast).
